I thought that this tree was neat looking...
Taken: May 3, 2007
Lunch in the shadow of the Pont du Gard.
Prehistoric cave shelter just off of the River in the shadow of the aquaduct.
From the left side of the river.
Hiking in the hills.
Perhaps this is something that the Romans saw when they were marching through this area?
Down the rocky path...
Some more hiking pictures.
Some plant with nice looking purple flowers.
Same kind of plant only different one...
Little white flowers on a scrub-like bush.
Looking further down the path.
The top of the aquaduct where the actual water would have flowed under the cover of a top stone.
A top arch tooking out to the southern part of the River.
Looking North from the Pont du Gard.
The holes that were intentionally left for repair scaffolding... cleverly disguised as art... :)
Again looking North from the pedestrian bridge.
More arch-ness, and closeup of the scaffolding bricks.
Looking south, there is old graffitti on the stone right in front dating from the 1600\'s.
The Pont du Gard.
Pont du Gard
Where is that little yellow VW beetle and it says something like \"Don\'t mess with perfection\"?
